Gregg Fellows – Information Technology and Operating Systems

Gregg Fellows is an expert in the areas of technology strategy; solution ideation, evaluation, and selection; governance and operations; and contract structure, measures, and negotiation. He is the architect of multiple IP (Intellectual Property) models for diagnosing and quantifying an IT (Information Technology) organization’s competencies and assets
Gregg has consulted with more than 300 companies to help business leaders understand and leverage their investments in – and intent for – technology. His experience and expertise bring him into the C-suite, and he serves as an advisor to many C-level executives. Delivering services to clients across multiple industries and with revenues ranging from $10MM to greater than $20B, Gregg’s approach to “running IT like a business” has provided clarity and quantifiable value to hundreds of companies.
As a business owner and graduate of Harvard Business School, Gregg has a pragmatic, business-focused perspective on technology and its potential to enable the business strategy. He provides coaching for other entrepreneurs and serves on the Boards of Validated Solutions and SignalFire Solutions.

Bruce Greiner

leads Group50’s Business Transformation Practice and brings more than 30 years of experience as a senior executive operations leader in the technology sector. His expertise and guidance inspire confidence while driving innovative change. As Vice President for Enterprise Services, he led the global delivery of infrastructure services for IBM’s critical IT systems and networks. He is also credited for managing IBM’s internal enterprise-wide application portfolio for Supply Chain, Customer Fulfillment, Financial Services, Employee Engagement Systems, HR, Procurement, employee provisioning, and vendor management. In addition, in his role as a key executive leader, he was responsible for M&A and Divestitures within the CIO organization.

As Vice President, CIO Operations, Office of the CIO, Bruce led the operations of the Business Transformation/Information Technology organization which ensured strategic alignment and effective execution of IBM’s information technology investments in support of IBM’s business strategy.  He has driven change to an agile operating model and led the implementation of a unique agile work space for his Austin based team.

He has held several key roles in support of IBM’s transformation both within the Software Business unit as well as part of the Corporate Staff. He has led major, multi-year global IT transformation initiatives for IBM’s value chains. He also led the transformation and consolidation of the global CIO organization and drove the IT integration of one of IBM’s largest acquisitions. He has held several financial management positions in Accounting, Financial Planning, Investment Analysis, and Controller.  Bruce is a graduate of Franklin & Marshall College.

Renee LaBran

Renée LaBran has 25+ years of operating, strategic and financial experience in corporate and early-stage company settings, and in a range of industries that include internet / digital media, technology and consumer products. Having worked as a management consultant, an operating executive and a venture capitalist, she is able to help corporations to drive growth and innovation and to manage in the face of disruption from new technologies, changing consumer needs, and other key trends. In addition to strategy development, she is also experienced in M&A and financial management.

After starting her post-MBA career as a management consultant to Fortune 500 companies, Renée worked for Times Mirror / LA Times where in addition to managing over $300M in revenues, she co-founded two Internet start-ups backed by media companies. From Times Mirror, Renée moved into venture capital, investing in early stage technology companies, and providing growth capital to consumer products companies. She currently serves as a consultant / advisor and Board Director at Idealab and other companies. Ms. LaBran holds a degree in economics from the University of California at Berkeley, and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.

William (Jim) Shepherd – Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Value Stream Analysis Expert

Jim brings over 34 years of manufacturing and project management experience to Group50 clients. He is considered a subject matter expert in supply chain, value stream mapping, value engineering, lean manufacturing and logistics. His recommendations reflect a breadth and depth developed during P&L leadership in aerospace, defense, automotive, medical devices and consumer products and has polished these skills as Principal and CEO of several consulting firms. Whether overseeing initial launch of satellites, or returning clients to profitability, Jim has a proven track record of partnering with client CEO’s and executive management staff to deliver significant ROI to Group50 clients.

Bruce Dougan | OPERATIONS AND HR EXECUTIVE: SHRM-SCP, SPHR

Bruce is Group50’s subject matter expert in operations and human resources.  Bruce is a SPHR and brings a unique set of skills to the Group50 team. He combines global corporation expertise (Procter & Gamble) with the agility required in smaller fast paced organizations.  He brings leadership expertise in Manufacturing/ Operations, Supply Chain Management, Sales, Customer Service and Human Resources. He is a seasoned HR Executive who has been through ups and downs, growth and downsizing, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, worked for corporate giants and small entrepreneurial companies. He adds a significant amount of people knowledge to our Strategic Planning programs and is considered a subject matter expert in Organizational Development and Design, Talent Management processes, Human Resources Assessments, Audits, Mergers and Acquisitions as well as Integrations, Change Management and Cultural Development.
