Chief Financial Officer
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and serving on the Boards of Novartis Pharma AG and various affiliated companies, responsibilities include all global financial and information technology operations with more than 2,000 employees and direct annual expenses exceeding $1 billion. Responsible for major financial and information technology operations in the USA, Europe, Japan, Asia Pacific and Latin America.
· Achieved double digit sales growth and market share gains each year.
· Built a recognized world class finance organization exceeding all business and financial targets. Grew operating income and cash flow to record levels each year.
· Awarded best in class status in sales, marketing, finance, information technology, research and development through strategic investments and tactical execution.
· Provided financial leadership on acquisitions and integration of multi-billion dollar products and businesses.
· Implemented global enterprise resource planning systems (SAP) increasing productivity, quality and speed of operations with better internal controls, leading to the lowest cost of goods in the industry.
