"Vision is perhaps our greatest strength... it has kept us alive to the power and continuity of thought through the centuries, it makes us peer into the future and lends shape to the unknown"

Lean Manufacturing Consultants

Lean Manufacturing Projects
These areas include:
  1. Process layout and Time to Produce
  2. Quality systems and feedback
  3. Purchasing effectiveness and Vendor systems
  4. Cost Reduction systems
Process Layout and Time to Produce
In this part of the physical, we look out how manufacturing is done. We review production methods, process capability, organization effectiveness, capacity flexibility and total time to manufacture your product from order point to delivery. The focus is to identify ways for the client to reduce the total time it takes for a product to be made which reduces inventory, waste, lead time and cost.
Quality Systems and Feedback
High quality performance of processes and parts are integral to an operation. We will review the quality systems that are in place using ISO9000 as a basis for the review. Continuous review of product and process quality is one of the most important keys to being competitive.
Purchasing effectiveness and Vendor Systems
Vendors are the lifeblood of your operation. We will review your purchasing and vendor systems with an eye on the methods used to provide feedback to vendors on quality, cost and performance. We will review the fundamental steps of Supplier Quality Assurance, Cost Reduction Programs, Material Review boards and other best of class supply chain techniques.

Cost Reduction Systems

Effectively run operations need to stay on top of their costs and employed capital. We provide a complete review of the cost reduction efforts in your organization. We will be looking at:

  1. Cost reduction goals and objectives
  2. Cost reduction processes and techniques
  3. Tracking and measurement systems
  4. Efforts to reduce inventory

After the audit, we will provide you with a report of our findings in each of these areas. Included in that report will be a set of recommendations. The report will provide you the basis for developing on-going and sustainable continuous improvement systems in your operation.
